First day

Arrival around 9:00 am at the Butterfly canoe base.

Distribution of equipment (canoes, life jackets, paddles, watertight containers),

Bus transfer to your chosen departure point:

Departure from Beaulieu (5-day canoe trip)

Beaulieu / Carennac 20 km

Gintrac; ruins of the iron-cut castle
Carennac; medieval village.

Departure from Carennac (4-day canoe trip)

Carennac / Meyronne 21 km

Floirac; a small town rich in history.
Gluges; a small village in a meander of the Dordogne dominated by the Belvédère de Copeyre.

Departure from Meyronne (3-day canoe trip)

Meyronne / Souillac 20 km  

Lacave, famous for its caves.
The castles of Belcastel and La Treyne Souillac; the joyful summer jazz town.

Departure from Souillac (2-day canoe trip)

Souillac / Carsac 19 km

You arrive in the Périgord Noir.
St Julien de Lampon, a church with remarkable 16th-century frescoes.

Last day Carsac / Beynac 25 km

Le Cingle de Montfort, home of the Château de Montfort.
Domme, a medieval bastide overlooking the Dordogne.
La Roque-Gageac, a village built between a cliff and the Dordogne.
Castelnaud and its castle, a museum of warfare in the Middle Ages.
Château de Beynac, one of the four baronies of Périgord.
